Roleo, an Estonian personal AI career agent, has raised €2.9 million to expand across Europe and help tech professionals discover career opportunities – without the hassle of searching and applying.

The round was led by the Baltic venture capital firm Practica Capital and included participation from Nordic VC Inventure. The company has secured €3.46 million in total funding to date.

“Most people spend years building their careers, but only actively manage them when something goes wrong or they decide it is time for a change. Meanwhile, great opportunities come and go, often without the right people ever hearing about them,” says Janer Gorohhov, co-founder and CEO of Roleo.

“We believe everyone should have a personal active career agent that understands what they want, keeps an eye on the market, and brings relevant opportunities to them. You should be able to focus on doing great work without missing out on what could come next.”

Roleo’s funding comes amid a series of European investments in AI-powered recruitment and workforce technology in 2026.

In September, London-based Jack & Jill raised €34.68 million for its AI agents connecting jobseekers and employers, while Belgium’s Spott secured €18.3 million for recruitment software.

Other rounds included €6 million for France’s HrFlow.ai, €3.4 million for the UK’s inploi and €1.8 million for Belgium’s Ringtime, alongside €18.09 million for Spain’s Orbio and €5.3 million for Iceland’s 50skills.

Together with Roleo, these eight selected rounds represent approximately €90.5 million in newly announced funding.

Roleo’s lead investor announced the closing of its €80 million Baltic-focused fund in 2024 – which has presumably helped mobilise today’s investment

“We saw potential in the Roleo founders – their proven operational experience and grounded, yet very high ambition. They came with a clear short-term plan and a long-term vision that’s easy to relate to. Leading this round was a natural fit for us, and we believe they are the team best positioned to set a new standard for how people build their careers,” adds Donatas Keras, Partner at Practica Capital.

Founded in 2025, Roleo is a personal AI career agent for technology professionals, designed to help people discover relevant opportunities and manage their careers without constantly having to search for their next job.

The company was founded by Janer Gorohhov, co-founder of identity verification unicorn Veriff, and Vahur Hansen, a former member of Wise’s early engineering team and co-founder of startup Membo.

Roleo learns about each user’s experience, ambitions, and preferences, identifies relevant opportunities across Europe, and connects professionals directly with employers when there is mutual interest – without the candidate submitting a job application.

Unlike traditional job boards, which require candidates to search and apply, Roleo builds an understanding of what each individual wants from their career. This includes not only their skills and previous roles, but also their expectations around compensation, flexibility, responsibilities, and future development. Users remain in control of their visibility, personal information, and whether they wish to pursue a particular opportunity.

Roleo’s user base already includes people from leading technology companies such as Google, Amazon, Stripe and Spotify. The service is free for professionals.

“AI is already changing how people handle everyday tasks, from managing information to organising their finances. Yet career management still requires people to do most of the work themselves,” Janer said.

“We want to build something that stays with you throughout your career, learns what matters to you, and helps you make better decisions over time. The goal isn’t to have AI make career decisions for people, but to make sure they have the right information and opportunities when those decisions matter.”

Since the beginning of 2026, Roleo’s agent has connected its users with 30,000 career opportunities they explored further.

Today’s funding will support both the company’s expansion across European markets and further product development, making Roleo increasingly responsive to individual needs and expanding the ways it can support users beyond job matching.

Markus Villig, angel investor, founder and CEO of Bolt, added: “I’ve watched Janer build Veriff and I know what Vahur did at Wise. Both know first-hand how hard it is to find and hire great people across Europe.”
