A lot has happened to Zach Kitshke, the 35-year-old marketing whiz at leading graphic design giant Canva, since he bought his first home in Bondi four years ago.
Canva, where he’d started on a one-day contract at the age of 22, has grown from a $55bn company to a $95bn one.
And in 2024, Zach, now the company’s chief marketing and communications officer, married Cat van der Werff, Canva’s executive creative director, at Jervis Bay.
An Insta post says: “Cat & Zach met in the office. Sparks flew (in one direction). Cat began nursing a crush that grew so large it threatened to consume her.”

1 Miller St, Bondi has a $4.8m guide for a June 13 auction, which the PPD agent Thomas Fuller says is “great value”. He and the Alexander Phillips team have already achieved more than $1bn in sales this financial year.
Local builder Andy Ford, who’d bought the property for $750,000, added the north-facing roof terrace during years of extensions and renovations.
During a work trip, she knocked on Zach’s door, telling him that she was “very interested”. They fell in love.
Now, with two young kids in tow, they’re planning to upgrade from the five-bedroom Miller St semi, that had cost $5.7m at the peak of the market in March, 2022.

It’s now set for June 13 auction with a $4.8m guide via Thomas Fuller and Alexander Phillips of PPD.
“At that price, it’s great value,” says Fuller.
The Phillips team, who have already achieved more than $1bn in sales this financial year, say in the realestate.com.au ad: “Sunshine and soul shine bright in this classic Federation beauty tucked away in a leafy pocket on the edge of South Bondi village.”
Open-plan living open to the garden.
It’s on a 307 sqm north-facing block framed by lush greenery.
The couple had bought the Miller St property, complete with a north-facing roof deck, post-auction.
Kitshke’s buyer’s agent, Steve Smith of Sydneyslice, had made the last bid of $5.6m, sealing the deal for $100k more in the days following with the agent Simon Exleton, who now works with Pillinger.
It was a great day for the vendor, local builder Andrew Ford, who has been travelling the world on the interest from the $5.7m bonanza ever since.
He’d bought the property for $750k in 2005 and done a range of extensions and renovations, re-creating the three-level home.
