We’re excited to announce that Marco Marlia, co-founder and President of MotorK, will join us at the EU-Startups Summit 2027, taking place on May 13-14 in sunny Malta! Marco will deliver a keynote titled Weathering the Storm: The right founder mindset and actions for difficult times.
Marco has spent more than two decades building digital businesses and helping transform the automotive industry.
Drawing on his experience building MotorK through different stages of growth, international expansion, fundraising, and the public markets, he’ll explore how founders can navigate challenging periods, make difficult decisions, and maintain the mindset needed to keep moving forward when conditions are far from ideal.
His Story
Marco began his entrepreneurial journey while studying at Università Bocconi, where he graduated in Economics, Institutions and Financial Markets. Before launching MotorK, he co-founded several technology and digital-services businesses, building experience across web development, digital marketing, and lead generation.
In 2010, Marco co-founded MotorK, which has since grown into a major European SaaS provider for the automotive retail industry. One of the company’s biggest milestones came in 2021, when MotorK listed on Euronext Amsterdam. The IPO raised €75 million and implied a market capitalisation of €261 million, providing additional resources to support the company’s international growth.
An additional €2.5 million post-IPO Equity was raised in April of this year.
As of today, the company employs over 300 employees and operates across 8 countries with 6000+ dealer groups.
He is also an author, with books including The DealerK Method and The MotorK Strategy: How to Build an AI-First Automotive Retailer, sharing lessons and frameworks developed through his experience in the digital automotive sector.
