Obsero, a British AI Search platform and consultancy, has raised €1 million ($1.2 million) in Seed funding to develop their first specialist AI agents (trained on their GEO playbook), double its engineering team, and accelerate GTM.

The round was led by SFC Capital alongside several of Obsero’s own customers.

Mike Logue, co-founder and CEO of Obsero, says: “When customers put their own money into your business, it tells you something no pitch deck can. AI is changing how people discover brands faster than any shift I’ve seen in marketing, and most teams are still flying blind. We’ve spent a year learning what actually moves the needle. Now it’s time to put that into the hands of every marketing team that needs it.”

Obsero’s Seed round comes amid investment in European startups developing AI search visibility and marketing automation tools.

In 2026, EU-Startups reported that fellow British company Searchable raised €11.9 million to expand its AI-led search performance platform, while London-based geoSurge secured €10 million to develop technology addressing how brands are represented within generative AI systems.

Elsewhere, Lisbon-based DOJO AI raised €5.1 million to develop its AI marketing platform and expand in the US, while Manchester-based Revnu secured €2.6 million to grow its AI-driven sales and marketing automation business, which also incorporates generative engine optimisation.

Together with Obsero, these five funding rounds represent approximately €30.6 million in disclosed investment across AI search visibility and adjacent marketing technologies in 2026.

EU-Startups has also previously covered Obsero’s lead investor, SFC Capital, including its €11 million commitment from the British Business Bank in July 2026.

Andy Francos, co-founder and CPO of Obsero, adds: “I’ve spent my career in organic search, and I’ve never seen the ground move this quickly. Much of what worked in SEO still matters, but AI engines weigh sources, context and credibility in new ways. Brands that assume their old playbook will carry over are already losing ground. Over the past year we’ve built a clear, evidence-based view of what drives visibility in AI Search. Now we’re putting that expertise into agents, so every team can apply it, not just the ones that can afford a specialist.”

Founded in 2025, Obsero is an AI Search platform and consultancy that helps brands increase their visibility in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews.

Obsero was founded by Mike Logue and Andy Francos, who met at IG Group in 2019. Watching AI assistants start to answer the questions their customers used to type into Google, they saw that brands had no way of knowing whether they were being recommended, or what to do about it.

In its first year, Obsero has reportedly tracked and analysed over 10 million AI answers. Its clients include Zopa Bank and Pepperstone, and agency partners include IDHL and Silverbean.

Obsero pairs its proprietary AI Search platform with a senior consultancy team. Together they track how AI engines talk about brands, which sources they trust, and what marketers can do to increase visibility.

Ed Stevenson, Fund Principal at SFC Capital, says: “AI assistants are quickly becoming the new front door to the internet, and brands need to know whether they’re being recommended. Obsero combines proprietary technology with senior expertise, and its plan to productise those learnings into specialist agents gives it a clear path to scale. Mike and Andy are precisely the kind of founders we want to back.”
