2 Cedar Lane, Daylesford, sold on The Block 2025 but is now back on the market.

A Daylesford house from The Block’s 2025 season is back on the market with a $2.9m-$3m range, slightly less than it sold for on the show.

The four-bedroom house at 2 Cedar Lane, built under the guidance of Queensland couple Sonny and Alicia Alpin, changed hands for $3.06m when the program aired.

But it now joins two other houses from the same Block season which failed to sell during the final episode and remain on the market, 4 Cedar Lane priced at $2.9m and 5 Cedar Lane priced at $3m-$3.3m.

However, BigginScott’s Tom Shaw said he believed that 2 Cedar Lane had some advantages over the other two properties.

“This is a bit more tucked away and more private than the other two homes,” Mr Shaw said.

“It is a brand-new house, it was really generous proportions and they spend a lot of money building them on the show.”

He said the house “does represent very good value” as it comes with all the furniture and fittings from The Block.

The Block’s judges described the kitchen as well-planned and highly functional.

The outdoor area contains a Plungie pool, sauna, fire pit and an undercover entertainers’ space.

Mr Shaw said the owner had bought the home for themselves and had enjoyed visiting there in the months since, but was selling due to a change in their personal circumstances.

Set on 2320sq m, the abode’s garden features a temperature-controlled Plungie pool, sauna, bocce court, fire pit area, an undercover entertainers’ area and a large shed and workshop.

Inside, an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area showcases timber beamed ceilings, skylights and a wood fireplace.

The kitchen is fitted with stone benchtops with gold veining, bespoke navy cabinetry, premium Asko appliances and a built-in 190-bottle wine fridge.

The main bedroom suite offers an electric fireplace, walk-in wardrobe, makeup station and an ensuite.

“It’s such a beautiful home, it really strikes you as you walk in,” Mr Shaw noted.

There’s even a bocce court.

The house has two living areas.

The house also has a 7+ star energy rating thanks to its solar system, Tesla charger and water tanks.

Mr Shaw said the residence would be great to live in, rent out or list as short-term rental accommodation.

He said the wider Daylesford region was attracting plenty of buyers from interstate such as Tasmania, Perth and Brisbane.

This mostly consists of people wanting to move into the area, possibly due to seeing it on The Block, Mr Shaw said.

“A lot of people pass through or come to Daylesford because The Block was here,” he added.
