This recipe combines two classic favorites — spaghetti and pizza — into one dish! So you can’t go wrong with this one! We’ve been eating this Spaghetti Pizza on repeat ever since my children were tiny, and it still hasn’t lost its appeal. I use turkey pepperoni since we prefer it less greasy and, as a bonus, turkey pepperoni is often cheaper than regular. You can add extra veggies and toppings to customize this recipe to your family’s tastes, but we like it as is — simple and basic. Spaghetti Pizza freezes well too!
I stock up on pasta when it is free or almost free (by combining sales plus rebates offers), and it’s such a frugal pantry staple to build a meal around!
I served this Spaghetti Pizza with some discounted French bread (from the reduced cart at the back of Walmart) since it was a baseball game night and I was short on time, but I often serve it with some type of tossed salad (Caesar is my favorite, but I can’t get my family on board with any type of dressing, unfortunately) or a steamed vegetable instead.

- 3 eggs (Aldi — $1.66 per dozen) — $0.42
- ¼ cup milk (Aldi — $0.19 per cup) — $0.05
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (Aldi — $2.99 for 16-oz) — $0.37
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 ½ cups spaghetti sauce (one 23.5-ounce jar) (Aldi) — $1.38
- 8-12 ounces (2-3 cups) shredded cheese (all mozzarella, or a mixture of your favorite pizza-friendly cheeses) (Aldi – $1.69 for 8oz) — $2.54
- 3.5-ounce package of sliced pepperoni (I use turkey pepperoni) (Aldi) — $2.89
Total: $8.30
Ingredients for Garlic Butter French Bread:
- 1 loaf French bread (Walmart) — $1.12
- 3/4 stick of butter, softened (Aldi – $2.99 for 1-lb) — $0.56
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt

- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Total: $1.68
Total for Dinner: $9.98 (Serves 6-8)

How to Make Spaghetti Pizza with Garlic Butter French Bread:
1. Follow the directions for making Spaghetti Pizza. (It’s also on the recipe card below.) I used a 12-ounce box of pasta, which stretches the recipe a little further (the original recipe calls for 8-ounce).

2. While the Spaghetti Pizza is baking, slice the French bread (I don’t slice it all the way through as it makes it easier to wrap the loaf in foil). Mix the softened butter with 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
3. Spread butter on both sides of each slice of bread and wrap the loaf in aluminum foil. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is crispy (but the inside is still soft and yummy!). Let the Spaghetti Pizza sit for at least 5 minutes before cutting into it.

FAQs about Spaghetti Pizza:
This family-favorite recipe combines spaghetti and pizza for an easy weeknight dinner. The cooked spaghetti serves as a crust and it has typical pizza toppings.
My favorites are mozzarella and pepperoni, but you could also add mushrooms, peppers, black olives, onions, sausage, or bacon.
