Looking to fast track your way into home ownership?
New data by The Lott reveals the top suburbs in which to buy your lottery tickets for your best chance of winning.
And the top locations are scattered across metro Adelaide.
According to the data, there were 33 division one wins worth more than $66m in 2025, with four areas delivering multiple division one wins at two each.
These are Craigmore in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, Noarlunga Centre in Adelaide’s south, Salisbury/Salisbury North in Adelaide’s north and Woodville/Woodville West in Adelaide’s western suburbs.
The biggest win came from Colonnades Lotto Kiosk in Noarlunga Centre on Christmas Day, with one lucky Hackham winner taking home $20m.
Two other winners – one from Davoren Park and another from Gawler purchased their tickets online – each pocketing a cool $4.8m.

Buying a lotto ticket in certain suburbs could fast track your way into home ownership.
Just this year, which isn’t captured in The Lott’s data, two million-dollar wins have come from the one retailer – Semprinis of Unley – including one winner this week who did have homeownership on their mind.
“We’re absolutely on cloud nine,” they said.
“We thought we would never be able to buy a house and now we can!
“It also means our son, who is going through a tough time, can come live with us.
“We’ll definitely be celebrating with a nice dinner and champagne tonight.”
Another winner, a Norwood father who pocketed a cool $100,000 on December 18 after buying a ticket on the lottery’s app, said it would change his life and get him into homeownership.
would allow him to finally enter the property market.
“I’ll be able to buy a house for my family,” he said.
“What a perfect little surprise before Christmas.”

Harcourts SA CEO Heather Edwards said she wasn’t surprised to hear many people’s lottery win intentions were around homeownership.
“It can provide stability in a market that hasn’t allowed them to do so.
“With housing prices, it is reducing the amount of people that have the ability to purchase a property and I’m not shocked that would be a priority for people because it gives them that long-term stability we want for everyone.”
She said to suddenly have enough money for a deposit, or to be able to bypass that process and buy a home outright would be a dream for many.
“It just makes sense and it gives them the ability to buy into a market and know that it’s actually going to earn an income long term.
“It’s sad to think there are people out there who, without something like a lottery win, might not ever be able to afford to enter the market.
“With the changing market we know young buyers are struggling.”
