Jesinta and Buddy Franklin have sold their luxury Queensland mansion.
Aussie golden couple Lance “Buddy” Franklin and wife Jesinta are celebrating a big payday after finally selling their luxury mansion.
The former AFL star and his fashion influencer wife are preparing to move to a hobby farm after selling Villa Casa, their glamorous Mediterranean-inspired home on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

The property hit the headlines last year when it was put up for sale and taken off the market within two months.
This week, however, Whitefox Real Estate’s Dijana Speak and Nic Whitehead announced the Reedy Creek property had sold to a family from Victoria.

Ms Speak remained tight-lipped on the sale price, but said both the buyer and seller were pleased with the result.
“Buddy and Jesinta are so happy to see Villa Casa go to a beautiful family who will enjoy the home,” Ms Speak said.
“The buyers are moving from interstate and wanted acreage.
“They were specifically looking to purchase a Hinterland property because of the schools in the area.
“They basically walked in, fell in love and bought it.”
Whitefox Real Estate listed the home in September and had planned to auction it later this month.
“Villa Casa was on the market for 60 days,” Ms Speak said.
“We had three strong offers throughout the campaign but decided to pivot and do an auction.
“That brought the urgency and the buyer bought it before the scheduled auction.”

Franklin previously told the Gold Coast Bulletin his family would be moving into a new property – a hobby farm – by Christmas.
“It has taken us purchasing our next property to be fully ready to let this one go,” Franklin said.
“It’s time, and we can’t wait for our first Christmas with the kids on the new property.
“We’ve always envisioned raising the kids on a hobby farm.
“They’ll have ponies by Christmas, and I know this move is the perfect step for our family.”
Villa Casa had meticulous attention to detail.
The high-profile couple, who have two children and are expecting their third, paid $8.75m in 2023 for Villa Casa.
The home was designed by architect Reece Keil, built by Tidal Constructions and crowned the Gold Coast house of the year in 2022.
The property appears to float above the skyline and has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms across the main house and a granny flat.

Mrs Franklin said selling Villa Casa was a “deeply emotional process”.
“This home is truly one of a kind, and one that holds so many memories,” she said.
“But as our family continues to grow, we have dreamt and been searching for nearly two years for a special piece of land where we could build a farmhouse, raise horses and chickens, and plant vegetable gardens.
“We’ve finally found that place, closer to my parents and our children’s school, and it feels like the right move for our family.”
PropTrack data revealed the median price for Reedy Creek was $1.63m, up 8.7 per cent over 12 months.
Villa Casa currently holds the sales record for Reedy Creek.
