As buyers seek contemporary homes, more space and a great sense of community, Fraser Rise in Melbourne’s northwest is increasingly on their radar.
Located next to Caroline Springs and Taylors Hill, Fraser Rise buyers benefit from the established amenity of those areas, and the broader growth of the west.
“Melbourne’s west has been Victoria’s fastest‑growing region over the decade, with affordability and new infrastructure underpinning sustained buyer demand,” says Anne Flaherty, economist, realestate.com.au.
Fraser Rise specifically has seen a 23% increase in searches for land on realestate.com.au in the past year.
Key to the transformation of Fraser Rise is a brand-new lifestyle-focused community, Society 1056, from YourLand Developments.
Andrew Jones, Head of Development, Communities, YourLand, says approximately 1200 new house and land opportunities are available across 93 hectares.
“It’s part of YourLand’s bigger vision to create communities that prioritise people, wellbeing and lasting value,” he says.

A clubhouse for life
At the heart of Society 1056 is the recently announced Society 1056 Clubhouse, which brings to life YourLand’s goals of putting residents first.
Ngaio Chalmers, Community and Culture Partner at ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, the experts behind the design, says the clubhouse is guided by the pillars of connection, wellness and sustainability.
“It offers spaces designed for meeting, relaxing and reconnecting with people and nature,” she says.
The clubhouse makes the most of natural light, natural materials and greenery to create a calm, inviting space.
“This intent is expressed throughout the building and in detail such as the welcoming lobby, earthy and grounding materials throughout, reflective moments like the tea station, and framed views to green space,” she says.

Wellbeing and connection prioritised
Living a healthy lifestyle is made easy at the clubhouse, with its extensive amenities including a pool, gym, sauna, and yoga and Pilates studio.
For the ultimate relaxation, it features a magnesium spa and sauna.
Meanwhile, sports courts, cricket nets, and spaces for basketball and pickleball are all family friendly.
“Residents will be able to meet their daily needs here, and in the process run into neighbours and friends regularly,” says Ms Chalmers.
People who work remotely will love the stylish co-working space, and everyone can make the most of the meeting rooms.
“Residents will have the flexibility to work from home or a more social shared space, which saves precious commute time and enables a better work-life balance and more time to spend with family and friends,” she says.
The clubhouse BBQ area is the perfect place to gather with friends and family for a meal.
There’s also a tool shed where people can borrow equipment for handy work around the house.
With sports courts, a pool, a gym and more, the clubhouse helps Society 1056 residents live active lifestyles.
Sustainable design for the future
In addition to focusing on the wellbeing of residents, the clubhouse design is equally focused on being sustainable for the future.
A planted roof and seamless flow into the surrounding biodiversity help the building to feel at one with nature.
“The integration of earthy materials such as brick within the architecture fosters a sense of tranquillity and wellbeing,” says Ms Chalmers.
The building uses natural ventilation and solar PV and has a dedicated electric vehicle charging station.
“We’ve reduced water use by harvesting rainwater and reusing greywater, minimised waste, and are exploring how we can use as much recycled content materials as possible,” she says.
The decision to create a sustainable clubhouse reflects the broader focus on sustainability in Society 1056.
All the homes are to be fully electric and solar-powered, and have light-coloured rooftops to reduce any ‘heat island’ effect.
The clubhouse is designed to be part of Society 1056’s wider commitment to sustainability.
A location on the rise
The mix of buyers catching onto the benefits of Frasers Rise and the Society 1056 community includes first home buyers, local upgraders, and investors.
There have also been several multigenerational families keen to make the community home, as well as siblings looking to buy properties near each other.
“The spaces were designed with community connection in mind. So, there are always opportunities to connect in ways that are planned or spontaneous,” says Ms Chalmers.
Buyers will also benefit from a proposed local primary school and new shops, existing nearby bus and train transport, and 9 hectares of green open space.
The next release of Society 1056 is now available, with homesites ranging from 176 sqm to 558 sqm, with lot prices starting at $276,000*.
