HGTV star Christina Haack has teased a “big” new project after her hit show “Christina on the Coast” was axed in the network’s programming purge.
The 42-year-old “Flip Off” star—whose renovation competition series with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather, was renewed for another season—took to Instagram to share the “special” news with her fans.
In a cheeky video posted to the official Instagram account for her design company, Christina and Kylie, the mother of three revealed that she and her business partner, Kylie Wing, have been busy working on “something special” that they plan to unveil soon.
In the clip, Haack and Wing could be seen posing in different areas of a home under construction, while words flashed up on the screen teasing fans about their “big” project.
The home in question appeared to be in the midst of a major renovation, with unfinished flooring and cabinets seen behind the two women as they made their way from room to room.

The video’s text overlay read, “Something big is coming, stay tuned.”
“We’ve been working on something special, and it’s almost time to let you in on it. Stay tuned … it’s going to be a good one,” the caption added.
Fans flooded the comments section and begged Haack for the project to be a “new show.”
“Please be a new show!” wrote one, as another said: “I’m praying it’s a show I need Christina back on my screen!”
While Haack has not vanished from HGTV screens altogether, continuing to star in “The Flip Off,” which premiered in January, there is no news yet on whether she will have any solo projects on the network.
It was revealed over the summer that her show “Christina on the Coast,” as well as her former spouse’s series, “The Flipping El Moussas,” had not been renewed—having fallen victim to the programming purge that saw multiple shows axed for good.
According to Us Weekly, insiders claimed that Haack’s series, which ran for five seasons, the last of which concluded in March of this year, has “not been renewed.”
Haack then appeared to poke fun at the cancellation in a lighthearted social media post that suggests she is not worried about the news of her series being axed.
She addressed the news in a carefree Instagram post that saw her lounging around with her kids, friends, and boyfriend, Christopher Larocca.

“Summer so far. Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me ….” she said in the caption.
Haack teased, “Only kidding only kidding” with a red heart and a silly face emoji.
However, while Haack appeared upbeat even in the face of the disheartening news, fans were quick to flock to the comments section to voice their sadness at the show being canceled.
“I sooo loved ‘Christina on the Coast’!!! HGTV made a very bad decision!!” one person said.
Another social media user wrote, “I am so highly upset at this network they canceled all my favorite shows!!! I really hope I see all you guys very soon!!!”
“The Flip Off” has officially been renewed, and filming has begun.
After its premiere in January, the series became HGTV’s highest-rated debut show among adult viewers since 2022. Fans were apparently captivated by the drama that unfolded on screen as a result of Haack’s divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall.
Initially, the show had been meant to feature Haack and Hall going head-to-head in a renovation battle against Tarek and Heather, with the first episode featuring several clips that had been filmed with all four stars.
However, when Haack and Hall split in summer 2024, just as filming had gotten underway, he was promptly axed from the show. Haack was left to go it alone in the home-flipping competition.
