The latest episode of the EU-Startups Podcast is here! This week, host Marcin Lewandowski is joined by Nicole Büttner, Founder & CEO of Merantix Momentum, Founding Partner at Merantix Capital, and a World Economic Forum Digital Leader for Europe. Nicole is an entrepreneur, economist, and tech optimist who believes in the transformative power of AI to positively impact individuals, businesses, and society at large.

In this insightful conversation, Marcin and Nicole talk about the current state and future of AI. They discuss the balance of risks and rewards in AI implementation, the challenges within Europe’s AI ecosystem, and the seamless integration of AI into daily life. Nicole shares insights on the importance of focusing on real-world applications, the potential of AI in underrated industries, and the ethical considerations surrounding AI regulation. They also touch on the role of women in tech and how AI could redefine humanity’s relationship with work.

One of the most thought-provoking moments of the episode comes when Nicole reflects on AI’s potential to free people from mundane, repetitive tasks, allowing for a renewed focus on human connection, creativity, and self-improvement.

As AI continues to evolve, she envisions it not as a threat, but as a catalyst for rethinking the way society functions at its core.

I think this can give rise to like a Renaissance of humanity because it will, it is challenging us much more to confront our own identity and our visions for societies and how we want to live and how we want to treat each other and that should, in my opinion, really be centre stage for our world and our society. And I’m really looking forward to that—to free some of the mental capacity from the dumb and dull and repetitive stuff and think about what actually matters,” says Nicole.

Don’t miss this engaging discussion packed with valuable insights on AI’s trajectory, Europe’s evolving tech landscape, and the broader implications of artificial intelligence on our lives. Tune in now to Episode 107 of the EU-Startups Podcast!
