A retired physician scientist and entrepreneur have paid millions for their Gold Coast sanctuary, but it’s the promise of never losing their ocean views that sealed the deal.

Reflecting on their decision to purchase in the Diamond Collection, Dr Horsburgh said that after retiring three years ago, they shifted their focus to travel and wellbeing, often choosing destinations aligned with their longstanding affinity for The Langham brand.
“Throughout our careers, we lived in different countries and travelled constantly, and The Langham was always a hotel brand we trusted,” Dr Horsburgh said.

The couple have called Singapore home for many years, following global careers that saw them live in China, Japan and Australia, travelling extensively throughout Asia and beyond.
Dr Horsburgh, a highly credentialed physician scientist, spent over 30 years leading pharmaceutical and biotech organisations developing new medicines.
He now enjoys travelling the world mountain biking, trekking, and attending Formula 1 events.
Ms Huang, an entrepreneur, founded and sold digital marketing and e-commerce companies and is also an avid climber who has trekked some major mountain peaks around the world.
