For Family Reunion 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia, KW is introducing breakout tracks to simplify planning and navigation among 150 breakout sessions. Attendees can follow one of eight specialized tracks—including AI, Marketing and Branding, Buyers, Sellers, Operations and Administration, Commercial, Luxury, and Wealth—for a deep dive on a single topic. Each track provides a focused learning pathway through four dedicated time blocks, featuring a mix of speaker presentations, rapid-fire RED talks, and panel discussions, and can be planned using the KW Command® mobile experience.

Hosting a conference for 10,000 or more real estate professionals takes a lot of planning. Between every annual KW Family Reunion, teams from across KWRI assess what improvements and enhancements can be made to ensure the next FR is even better than the last, and delivers the best possible event experience in the industry.

Education and training is at the center of FR, and balancing the educational needs of the newest agents with those of long-tenured leaders is no small task. Main stage presentations planned for FR26, like the annual Vision Speech with Gary Keller, a keynote with Jay Shetty, and SocialMediaCon with Gary Vaynerchuk, serve the widest audience by delivering information that applies across roles and experience levels. By contrast, breakout sessions provide attendees with the time and space to explore specialized topics that align with their current roles, goals, challenges, and interests.

Breakouts have historically covered a vast array of topics across the real estate spectrum, and with 150 breakouts planned for FR26, this year is no exception. But while it’s great to have an abundance of options, that kind of bounty can also lead to overwhelm — especially for first-time attendees. Robert Bell, KW’s director of training, says that’s why KW is introducing a new feature for 2026: breakout tracks.

Breakout tracks open up the fast lane to learning across eight core subjects: AI, Marketing and Branding, Buyers, Sellers, Operations and Administration, Commercial, Luxury, and Wealth. Each track condenses critical strategies, technologies, and mindset shifts into one learning pathway to make the most of your time and energy. As an attendee, you can follow one breakout track for the deepest dive on a single topic, or mix and match with other breakouts to customize your learning adventure.

The Anatomy of a Breakout Track

Robert says dedicated breakout tracks were conceived to simplify planning and provide an easy way to navigate FR — and the convention center itself.

After a full day of SocialMediaCon on Sunday, Feb. 22, Monday opens with general session presentations followed by the first of five time blocks dedicated to breakouts. Track sessions run at the same time as other breakout sessions over the first four time blocks, with one dedicated room for each track. That means if you choose to follow one track throughout FR, such as AI or Operations and Administration, you’ll only need to remember the location of one room.

Unlike other conventions and conferences, you won’t find gold or platinum badges at FR26; all badges are created equal. While that means you get to select from the full range of breakout sessions, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Robert cautions that if a session is of particular importance to you, it’s a good idea to get to the breakout location early to save your spot. He also points out that while a small number of individual breakout sessions will be repeated across the five time blocks, there are no repeated sessions within the breakout tracks, so it’s important to plan ahead. (More on that below.)

In addition to going deep into each topic, each breakout track includes a mix of three distinct formats: Speaker presentations feature one to two subject matter experts; rapid-fire RED talks are made up of back-to-back, 15-minute mini-sessions with one-pager takeaways; and dynamic panel discussions provide multiple perspectives on a single topic. The variety ensures that those who follow a single breakout track have a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Planning Made Easy

Whether you’re a longtime KW® associate or a guest, you can use KW Command to plan your FR. The FR26 mobile experience, due to launch Jan. 12, 2026 inside Command, is where you can easily explore breakout tracks, bookmark them, and add them to your agenda with one click.

At the same time, Robert says, if you add a track to your agenda, you’re not locked into your selections; you can make changes and shift your plan on the go. You can elect to attend some track sessions, then choose your own adventure from the full array of breakouts happening across FR. If you don’t see what you’re looking for in a dedicated track, you can use the app to search across categories. From fundamentals like leads, listings, and leverage, to culture, time management, and productivity, there are individual breakout sessions on nearly every topic in the business of real estate — and then some.

Of course, choosing to attend one session means you’re necessarily missing out on another. “There’s an opportunity cost” built into that selection, Robert says, “so it’s important to come to FR with clear objectives about what you want to get out of the experience.” Is there a particular challenge you want to learn more about? A speaker you simply can’t miss? A topic you won’t find anywhere else? With so many options to choose from, pre-planning makes a big difference. “Know your game plan going in,” he advises. Between SocialMediaCon, keynotes, breakout tracks and sessions, he predicts, “This is going to be one of the richest FRs we’ve ever had.”
